Hannah awakened from yet another bad dream.
"I'm here, it'll be alright.
"Those that reside in the pool in the woods. They've been there until I had been a little girl."
Hannah looked at Grandma and saw a grin on her face and a twinkle in her eyes.
After a time she cuddled beneath her covers and went back to sleep.
The following morning before Grandma was awake, Hannah put on her boots and jeans, quietly went out the back door, and ran toward the pool in the woods.
As she got closer she slowed down, just in case some fairies where nearby. She did not want to frighten them.
The pool was cool and clear, surrounded by grasses and flowers of every color you could imagine. The trees hung over the water simply brushing to top.
Hannah sat quietly for a long time waiting for the fairies, but none arrived.
A tear began to fall, she'd desired to see the fairies.
I will not hurt you. My grandma told me you'd protect me from the terrible dreams. I came to ask you to assist me ."
She cried, and still nothing.
"I am scared to sleep. There are items that come in my dreams and frighten me. I attempt to hide in my dreams but they always find me. Ever since I came to live with grandma they come each evening. They wish to take away me like they took my momma. I miss my momma and need to see her again, but I am scared of the monsters.
Hannah cried and cried, eventually falling asleep by the pool.
"We're here little one, we've always been here."
Then all of a sudden the water started to glow like stars had fallen to earth. One by one, from the water the lights started to float around Hannah.
"Wake up Hannah, we're here"
Hannah woke, wiped her eyes, and saw the most wonderful thing she'd ever seen. Over the pool where countless fairies all-dancing, giggling, and singing songs. They jumped off the blossoms, swung on the tree branches.
Hannah laughed and laughed as she saw all of them.
"You're here, you came to make the monsters go away and keep me safe" she clarified
"We're here for you Hannah and you're not alone. You have your own unique fairy who watches over you every evening. She won't ever let monsters hurt you. She misses you very much and each night she kisses your forehead while you sleep. Consider in her Hannah, speak to her before you go to bed each night. She's waiting for you to ask for her aid."
With a gust of wind, they were gone. Hannah sat waiting for them to return, but they didn't.
She went home, wondering the rest of the day, what they'd meant.
The time came for bed. Grandma kissed her brow, tucked her in, and told her good night.
A series of light across the sky so bright it made all of the stars twinkle brighter then she'd ever seen.
Something had occurred, was it her fairy, was she safe today.
The fairies had said she had been, so back to bed, she went.
Before she closed her eyes she turned to examine the image of her mother near her bed. She stared at it for a moment then cuddled up and went to sleep.
She ran to tell Grandma that the fairies had protected her and the critters where gone.
Hannah skipped off to start her happy moment.
Grandma went up the staircase to the Hannahs room, she sat on the edge of the bed and picked up the image of her daughter. A tiny tear dropped from grandmas eye.
"You showed her, you made her feel. She knows she's safe now"
Grandma put the picture back and shut the door behind her as she headed downstairs.
On the table sat the image of Hannahs's mother, the sun shining behind her as she sat next to a pool of water with flowers and trees.
There was a grin on her face, a twinkle in her eye and if you looked hard enough, you could see the fairies playing around the girl they'd come to understand as their Queen.
The following morning before they left for work, the Seven Dwarfs cautioned Snow White she shouldn't open the door to anybody. After all, who knows what bad her stepmother might do? The princess nodded in agreement, and the Dwarfs left the home. The princess prepared her very first reading lesson. She also prepared an excellent hot meal for the Seven Dwarfs when they returned home that night. And thus the days passed.
Back in the castle, the Queen awakened to her mirror. "Who's the fairest of them all?"
"Snow White is the fairest of them all!" said the Magic Mirror.
"That is impossible!" "The woman is no longer living!"
And a picture was shown on the mirror of Snow White residing in the cottage of the Seven Dwarfs.
She cried, "She won't get away with this!"
At the cabin of the Dwarfs another day, when the Seven Dwarfs were off at work, there was a knock on the door.
She recalled the warning of the Seven Dwarfs to not open the door to anybody.
"It is just a poor old woman," came a squeaky voice," selling apples." Yet it was the wicked Queen, disguised as an old lady. "It's raining here, my dear," said her voice through the door. "Please let me ."
"Have a look at this enormous red apple," said the old woman, who as you know by now was actually the Queen in disguise. She held the red apple near to Snow White's face. "Beautiful, my dear, is not it?"
"I'd like very much to buy your apple," said Snow White. "But I don't have any money."
"That fine comb in your hair will make a fantastic trade," said the older woman.
said Snow White. She took the comb from her hair and gave it to the old woman, who subsequently gave her the apple. Snow White took a large bite. Regrettably, the fruit was poisoned! Simultaneously, Snow White fell to the floor in a deep sleep.
"YES!" shouted the Queen, pumping the air with her fists.
Just then the door flew open. In marched the Seven Dwarfs, home from the day's work. Shocked really they were to find Snow White lying on the ground and what has to be her stepmother beside her, laughing!
They chased that wicked Queen outside the door, and into the storm. Up to the very top of a mountain they chased her. All of a sudden, lightning hit the mountain! The Queen dropped, and she was never seen again.
But there was nothing to help poor Snow White. She stayed absolutely still in her deep sleep. The Seven Dwarfs gently raised her into a glass coffin. Day and night they kept watching over her.
1 day, the Prince happened to pass through. Ever since he'd discovered that Snow White was missing in the castle, he had been looking for her, far and wide. Now he'd finally found her but in this state! The Prince pulled open the glass coffin. Her face appeared so fresh, even in that deep sleep.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Story
Her father had always said to his daughter that she has to be honest to everyone at court. Said he, "People come here to the castle when they are having trouble. They require the ruler to make a reasonable decision. There's nothing more important than, to be honest."
In the first opportunity, she moved to her magic mirror. "Who's the fairest of them all?"
The Queen must have the best of everything - everybody knows that.
"What do you know -- you are a mirror!"
Still, the Queen was troubled. So bothered was she that the Queen chose to eliminate the woman, once and for all.
"I can't wait another day!" she declared. The Queen is known for her slave, a huntsman. "Locate a motive to take Snow White deep into the forests," she said, pointing her long finger in the servant. "Then kill her."
The huntsman was shocked! But she was the Queen and what would he do? The following day he took Snow White into the woods. As he drew his knife to slay her, Snow White turned around.
"Look," she said, taking something from her pocket. "You've always been great to me." She held facing him six perfect arrowheads she had carefully shaped. "Would you like them?" she said. "They're for you."
"Snow White," said the huntsman. "I can't do this!"
"You can take these," said Snow White.
"That is not exactly what I mean," said the servant. He dropped to his knees. "How do I say this to you? The Queen, your step-mother, ordered me to kill you," he said. "But I can't!"
"She did what?" Snow White called out with alert.
"You must run away!" said the huntsman. "Far into the forests. Now! And never return to the castle!"
Snow White turned and ran into the woods as fast as she could. Deeper and deeper she conducted. It was getting dark, and the wolves were beginning to howl. She tripped and her skirt was ripped. Tall tree branches seemed to reach down to the ground to catch her. She had been scratched, bleeding and fearful. Nevertheless she ran on and on.
Then all of a sudden, far away, there was light. Who had been living so deep in the forests? She stepped up closer. It was a cabin! Yet no sound came from the cabin, only light in the windows.
No answer. The door was slightly open. She opened it a bit more and stepped in. "Hello, is anybody home?"
She had never seen a messier living room.
"This cottage might be the biggest mess I ever saw," she thought. "But it is a roof over my head for tonight. Perhaps if I clean up around here, I could make my sleep."
As she cleaned, she thought of someone she missed. Before her father had re-married, a Prince who dwelt in the following kingdom were getting to know each other. They would take long walks in the royal garden and tell each other stories and laugh.
After the Queen had moved to the castle, her stepmother had made a new rule -- no more visitors. Now the Prince had to slide over the palace gate in secret. He would call out to her from beneath her window and they could talk a little like that. It wasn't as great as the long walks but it was the best they could handle.
Now that she had to run away from home, would she ever see him again?
After Snow White cleaned up the living room, she went upstairs. On the next floor, there were seven small beds lined up in a row, like for kids. Tired from cleaning, Snow White yawned and put across all seven of those beds. Soon she fell fast asleep.
Meanwhile, the Seven Dwarfs were going home from a long day of working in the gem mines. When they opened the door, you can imagine their surprise when they watched their cabin all cleaned up!
"What sort of magic is that?"
"I would not mind more magical like this!" Said another of the Dwarfs with a grin. His title was Dopey.
"We had better check upstairs," said another Dwarf, whose title was Grumpy.
There -- lying across each of their beds, was a young woman, fast asleep.
Said all of the Dwarfs at once.
The Seven Dwarfs could tell she was as amazed as they were.
Snow White learned their names -- Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy. She told them all about her step-mother. That her stepmother had attempted to find the huntsman to kill her, that the huntsman had set her free in the forests, and that she would never return home again.
"Stay here, with us," stated Bashful.
"That's sweet," said Snow White. "However, if I were to remain here at your house, I would need to do something for each of you."
"You cleaned up our location," said Sneezy.
"Keeping the home clean will be simple," said Snow White," as long as all of us pitch in. I'll let everyone know what area they could do, and I'll do my share too, naturally."
"That is fair," said Happy.
"But there has to be something else that I can do for you," said Snow White.
The Seven Dwarfs shrugged.
"Do you understand how to read?" said Doc. "We have these novels full of wonderful tales and would like to have the ability to read them." And therefore it was agreed that Snow White would provide them reading courses.
The following morning before they left for work, the Seven Dwarfs cautioned Snow White she shouldn't open the door to anybody. After all, who knows what bad her stepmother might do? The princess nodded in agreement, and the Dwarfs left the home. The princess prepared her very first reading lesson.
